Randy was born and raised in Chelan and after retiring in 2000 from his first career returned "home" to fulfill a long standing desire to start a renewable energy business. He has been interested in solar energy and followed the industry since the 1970's.

In the early 1990's, Randy and Anne starting working toward a renewable energy business as a second career. They designed and built their passive solar home in Chelan. Randy has attended and instructed formal and hands-on training in design and installation of renewable energy systems and has experience installing systems totalling over 350 kilowatts of renewable energy. Our goal is to install over 1 megawatt of renewable energy systems.

We are a Bergey Wind Power Certified Dealer, a Uni-Solar certified BIPV installer, and a Bright Way trained solar hot water installer.

Our mission is to put renewable energy to work for people, improving quality of life while reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources and reducing adverse impacts on the planet. We strive to conduct our business according to sustainable business principles.

Brooks Solar was incorporated in November 2000 and is a licensed Washington State general contractor (#BROOKSI999B9). We provide energy conservation consulting, passive solar design consulting, solar hot water (domestic and pool), and photovoltaic (PV), wind, and micro-hydro renewable energy system design, installation, and service in north central Washington.

We fully support product warranties of manufacturers we represent and warranty our labor and services for one year.
