Mountaintop Wind Farm, Peshastin, WA

Don and Bev Grim installed the second grid tied wind turbine to produce power for the Chelan County PUD Sustainable Natural Alternative Power (SNAP) at their mountain top home near Peshastin, WA

Our wind turbine crew came together to complete the installation in the spring of 2003. The 100 foot free standing tower and turbine were required to be painted forest green to blend with nearby forested hills. Optional black blades were also used to reduce any visual impact.

The self supporting tower required a large monolithic concrete foundation.

The 100 foot self supporting tower, painted forest green, was assembled in one day.

The custom painted Bergey 10kW wind turbine, with optional black blades, is assembled prior to being lifted into place by crane.

A crane lifts the wind turbine and tower into place.
