Local:
- The Chelan County PUD Sustainable Natural Alternative Power (SNAP) will pay up to $1.50 per kilowatt hour (kWh) for renewable energy (RE).
State:
- All services, equipment, and labor for solar and wind electric systems over 200 watts are exempt from state sales tax. This is an 8% savings. This does not apply to solar hot water systems.
- The recently passed WA RE Incentive law allows your utility pay up to $0.54/kWh for solar and wind power, not to exceed $2,000 per year, for renewable energy production.
Federal:
- The recently passed Federal Energy Bill provides for an income tax credit of 30% of the cost of a solar renewable energy system (up to $2,000 for individuals, no limit for businesses.) This does not apply to wind systems.
- Businesses can depreciate the value of the system on their taxes.
All these values are additive.
